Our Beliefs
We adopt the Statement of Faith set forth below, and requires written adoption annually by: (a) Directors and Officers; (b) employees; (c) regular volunteers; and (d) parents/guardians of enrolled students and students of age sufficient to assent.
God, Jesus Christ & the Trinity
We believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). We believe in God as the Father, and Jesus Christ as the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the third member of the Trinity (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11). Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, was crucified, died, and was buried. We believe He rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of the Father (John 1:1, 14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5).
The Bible, Salvation & Sanctification
We believe the Bible is the infallible authoritative Word of God. We believe we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and that sanctification is the ongoing process of being developed by Christ. Surrendering ourselves to His Word and His Spirit in order for growth (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).
The Holy Spirit, Baptism & Spiritual Gifts
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6). We also believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as listed in 1 Corinthians 12:1-31 and 1 Corinthians 14: 1-40. The gifts and those utilizing those gifts work together in harmony with the Scriptures to further the Kingdom (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:16; 2 Timothy 1:5-16, 4:14; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10).
We also believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as the outward expression of an inward conversion to Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38). We also believe in the Lord’s Supper and partaking in it in present time (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25).
Eternity, Biblical Marriage & God’s Design
We believe hell is a real place and that one day all people will be judged by God and any unbelievers will be sent to hell for eternity (Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8).
Lastly, we believe all people were created either male or female in likeness of Christ. That all marriages are sacred between one man and one woman. We believe no sexual activity to occur other than in the context of marriage between one man and one woman. We believe gender also matters to God. God’s creation of each person as male and female is complementary within marriage and reflects the image and nature of God. (Gen 1:26-27) Those who reject their biological sex reject God’s design and the person He created them to be so gender is the gender of one’s birth (Genesis 2:24, 19:5, 26:8-11; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29; 1 Corinthians 5:1, 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4; Genesis 1:26-27).
